Overwhelm

Unity

Overview

This prototype was made in 2 weeks for Gameloft. Overwhelm is a 1v1 local game where each player plays as an alien queen and must summons units to destroy the enemy queen. There are 4 different units, 3 of them follow the rock paper scissors principle and the last one inflicts massive damage to the queen so you have to escort it.

Tasks

Role : Lead Programmer.
Programming : NavMesh, Core Gameplay, UI, Source control management.
Management : Manage a team of four developers during two weeks .

Ascend Clouds

Unity

Overview

Ascend Clouds is a boss fight project I've made with 2 other programmers and 5 artists. For this project, we had some constraints :
- Use Unity
- Must be playable with controller
- Make a 3 to 10 minute long boss fight
During this project we have implemented two different phases : the first one is a tutorial where you learn to use the different skills of the character and the second phase is the boss fight.

Tasks

Role : Programmer.
Programming : NavMesh, Movement Inputs, UI, Sounds, Source control.
Game Design : Design the boss and its pattern with 2 other programmers

Oscar's Oasis Fight

Overview

This prototype was made in 1 week for TeamTo, an animation studio. Oscar's Oasis Fight is a 1v1 local game where the players fight to drink from the bottle of water. The player who drank the most water at the end of the round is the winner. It was my first project using Unity.

Tasks

Role : Programmer.
Programming : Gamepad Inputs, Gamefeel, Player Movements, UI, Sound, Asset integration.

Catch me if you can

Alternative Controller

Overview

This game was made in one day for a Game Design class about alternatives controllers. ​ ​In Catch Me If You Can, two players, represented by a lighted LED, are running clockwise on a circular track composed by LEDs of 3 different colors (blue, yellow and red). In order to move, each player has to press the button which matches with the next LED’s color. The first player who succeeds to catch up with his opponent wins.

Timoun

Unreal Engine 4

Overview

Timoun is the project I will be working on during the fifth year of my master degree at Supinfogame Rubika. The production will start in October 2016. It is tactical RPG where you control a team of kids looking for the secrets and the treasures of the Tucano Island.

Gréement

Web Application

Overview

Greement is the second Web application I developed with an other programmer for the French Marine Nationale during my internship. The main function of Greement is to allow the CROSS in France and overseas to keep a record of the professional training, the degrees, the certificates of their employees.

Tasks

Role : Programmer.
Programming : Front(HTML, CSS, JS) and back end(PHP using Laravel, SQL, creation of the database).

ReDDiB

Web Application

Overview

ReDDiB is the first Web application I developed with an other programmer for the French Marine Nationale. It's an application designed to allow the CROSS in France and overseas to list the objects founded in the sea, dangerous or not. We had some requirements to respect :
- The application must be easy to search and find any entry
- The user can edit and remove any entry
- The admin must be able to make some statistics for each CROSS (number of objects found between two dates for example)

Tasks

Role : Programmer.
Programming : Front(HTML, CSS, JS) and back end(PHP, SQL, creation of the database).
Design : Design the application and creation of the different assets.

About Me

My name is Rodrigue MAUROUARD. I finished a two year diploma in Web Development and I'm currently in the fourth year of a five year Master in Game Programming and Management at SUPINFOGAME.
Since I was a child I’ve always loved to have new experiences and discover things. Therefore i was a fan of videogames since my first Gameboy back in the days.

As a first step in my studies, I focused on software development and web-oriented skills however my enthusiasm for gaming remained the same. That is why I decided to make a life changing decision and study the video game industry and what it means to be a game programmer.

I’m actually seeking an internship for the 2016 summer to learn more, gain knowledge and to use my skills in a professional environment.
